2012- A Day in the Life

Image
Yes. It's basically been a month since I posted pictures. I have been taking them but life keeps getting in the way of posting. And for the ease of posting I've done collages up until today. So...without further ado. I give you July 23rd through August 22nd. Traveling back from my family reunion to my first long run in forever. Me. Wearing a pink shirt. To ice cream topped with fresh blackberries. Deer summer sausage to my girl getting her braces off. Shakespeare at Lake Tahoe, my birthday and a yummy dinner. From relaxing to seeing the medal I hope to earn in January. Holy tall sunflowers! To hiking with my girls. OMG amounts of zucchini to new guinea pig to kitty and doggy. I *swear* I'll try to do better. :) Posted using BlogPress

Gymnastics

The history of gymnastics in my family started with my oldest.  She has always been petite and when we were living in Idaho I went to the local rec center to see what kind of activities they had for a 2-1/2-year-old.  Gymnastics seemed like a good choice.  They had a parent-tot class and we went together.  It was fun for both of us.  Once she hit 3, she went into the preschool class and had an amazing teacher, Miss Cindy.  This lady was fabulous.  She could corral ten 3- and 4-year-olds on 3 different stations and have them all doing exactly what they were supposed to.  I was constantly in awe of her.  My girl progressed and was doing well and working with a group of girls and coaches in a pre-team sort of fashion when we moved to Nevada.  By this time Sass had made it through the parent-tot class and into the preschool class and enjoyed it s well.  I knew I had to find a gym to enroll the girls in classes.  At the time there was one gym in town.  And it was a small gym and it was tota

Pondering

Let me ask you a question.  Let's say that you are home making dinner and watching TV and waiting for company to arrive for dinner.  Your phone...which is *usually* attached to you...which most people know...is in the other room.  But you're cooking dinner and anticipating the company that will soon arrive and you miss a phone call or a text saying that someone completely different than your company is planning on stopping by...and then they just show up.  On your doorstep.  Or they *say* they tried to call you but your phone shows no record of a missed call.  Does it matter who that somebody is?  Would it bother you if it was your parents or other family?  Possibly.  If your parents/family are annoying and intrusive.  Would it bother you if it was your best friend from out of town?  Possibly.  If your best friend knew your expected company and they didn't get along.  Would it bother you if it was a local friend?  Possibly.  If you were running around nekkid cooking dinner
