Halling Go To Alaska

Sunday 4/8 Tahoe on my drive back from Easter dinner with my parents and brother.  Monday 4/9 Look! It's healthy! Get your calcium with your booze! Heh.  Tuesday 4/10 I helped fill that space with a window.  Wednesday 4/11 The wind was HOWLING, but man it was gorgeous out.  Thursday 4/12 By request from this little guy's "mama" who had been out of town for a week,  "Can you send me a picture of Boo, please?"  So glad the little guy cooperated.  Friday 4/13 Swimming day! Saturday 4/14 Booze day!  Oh.  Wait.  That's most days.  :) 

Sunday 3/25 Went for a drive around Lake Tahoe.  It was a dreary day, but made the hike down into Emerald Bay much nicer.  Lots of good pictures taken, but I love me the lake.  Monday 3/26 Went to the Children's Museum per request of my girl.  This thing? Blows air out of that black tube she's holding on to.  There is a balloon that you put on top, flip a switch, and watch the balloon  fly straight into the air 30 feet up.   Tuesday 3/27 I had to include the sequence of these two.   They made me laugh because of how in sync they were.   Wednesday 3/28 I gots guns.   Yay for The New Rules of Lifting for Women.  Thursday 3/29 My one and only picture from the day.  It was #marchphotoaday of #myname. Sunday 8/14 Found this quote in a book and fell in love with it.  Monday 8/15 My post workout protein shake.  Chocolate protein powder, a banana, and milk.  Tuesday 8/16 Chocolate cupcake with peanut butter frosting and half of a mini Reece's in the top.  Starbucks made my evening.  Wednesday 8/17 This is the fence in our front yard.  I love the colors in the lichen. Thursday 8/18 A book of Peanuts comics.   Love that my 10yo still finds joy in comics.  Friday 8/19 I love this girl.  She drives me a bit crazy some days, but this smile?  Is true and real.   Saturday 8/20 A picture from our 11.4-mile hike on the Tahoe Rim Trail.   It was hard, and dirty, and so needed.   Give me fresh mountain air and some water off in the distance?  I'm a happy girl.  I had a great hiking/running partner in T.

Wednesday 8/3 Back at Tahoe! Twice in one week - I think that's a record.  Not sure what was up with Sweet Pea's pose, but it was cute.  Thursday 8/4 A bunny and a quail.  Just some of the wildlife in my backyard.  Friday 8/5 This was at the end of the week performance for VBS.   The girls had a good time.   This was Sweet Pea's first year to go as she was *finally* old enough.  Saturday 8/6 An early birthday present from one of my good friends, Tami.   I'm not usually an anklet kind of girl, but this fit perfectly. 

Last Friday T took a day off to join us at the lake.  I love Lake Tahoe so much.   There's the icy cold water that only feels good on warm days.  There's the soft sand (well at the beach we were at anyway).  The kids love digging in it and making the hole deep enough to find water. The days are rare that daddy gets to join us.   Sweet Pea loved that he wanted to dig with her.  The left behind digging to enjoy the water.  The "I'm too cool for you" sunglasses look. (She still pronounces any cl/gl combo as "bl".  So for Sweet Pea these are sunblasses - I'm going to miss that when she stops.) And the obligatory weirdo at the beach picture.   She was trying to wash the sand off her feet before she sat on her towel.   The buckets were small, and she couldn't stand up.   Yes, I didn't bother to help. Wow! Can you believe it? Week 33. Time is aflyin'! Sunday Totally blurry cat picture. But she was stalking Bear-cat and it was the only picture I took on Sunday. Monday (fail whale) Tuesday Sweet Pea was dancing away to the CD the older two got from VBS this year.  Wednesday Fresh strawberries from the farmer's market.  They were equal in sweetness to the ones we grew earlier this year. Thursday The sunflower revisited.  Now there are two! Friday The sand chairs daddy made at the beach.  T ditched work to join us at our last weekday at the lake for the summer.  (Boo! to all the things that took up our beach time this year) Saturday The minute I saw this picture of Sweet Pea, I saw my mom's expression in her eyes.  I've never seen my mom in her until this picture.  It is 100% Gramma. 

Sunday  The kids have been participating in the summer reading program at our local library.  For reading x number of hours they got a free kid's meal at Applebee's.  They got a free dinner.  T and I ordered their "perfect margaritas". Monday Love the lighting in this picture.  Btw, I gave her this hair cut.  Well, not the bangs, those still need a trim. Tuesday I pulled one of our 10 carrots we have growing in our garden.  I wanted to see how big they were.  I'm thinking I'm going to let the others go until October.  Wednesday Love the Nuun for during long runs. It's all electrolytes, so no sticky sweetness.  The banana flavor? Scared me.  But at the expo for the RnR in San Diego we tried it.  It's more generic tropical-ish. No banana flavor.
