Sunday 3/20 ' I love this picture. It had snowed but started to warm up.  The snow slide down T's windshield and made this "wave".  Winter can be so cool! Monday 2/21 Remember, it's my blog. But the winds yesterday afternoon were so strong we should be considered "

Sunday 3/6 My blurry Sweet Pea.  How she is not a chubby toddler anymore? Monday 3/7 Got my hairs cut.  Thinning shears are my friend.  Tuesday 3/8 Sweet Pea with her bubbly hat.  Wednesday 3/9 Goofy faces pass the time in Costco.  (Trust me that this was "good" picture I took.  The other one was of her rash on her legs.  And even our doctor admitted it looked ugly.) Thursday 3/10 We had rain.  Which lead to a rainbow.  Bizarre weather we've been having.  Relatively warm for March.  Friday 3/11 This? This was stress eating.   This was me enjoying sugar instead of the adult weekend trip we were planning.  Being an adult can suck it.  Saturday 3/12 Oh look! More stress eating!  I ate two.  They were yummy.

Life - Sometimes I'm not strong enough for it.

Today my heart is sad.  And that's an understatement.  Today brings with it a reality that I know I will have to face but I selfishly hope it is a long time from now.  I've written on a couple of occasions about my dad.  I can't say enough good things about his honor and integrity.  I've even lambasted him for raising me to believe that all people had common sense.  Because that is who is he is.  Logical yet loving.  Strong but always willing to hand out a hug or open his door/answer the phone to any request big or small that I've needed help with over the years.  He set the bar high for all other men in my life.  Luckily T does a pretty job keeping up. :) But I know of another dad who has been equally awesome to his daughter.  Another dad who won't be there anymore to answer the phone and provide the unconditional love and support he always has.  I feel honored to have met and spent time with him.  He had a heart that was so big, you could see and feel the lov

Sunday 2/27 Homemade cheesy crackers take 1.  They were a mix of the shredded cheese in a bag you get from Costco and Dubliner's cheese.  The girls weren't sure about them. Next time I'm going to make them with cheddar and roll them out thinner.  Monday 2/28 When I picked up Sweet Pea at school I got asked why I was so dressed up.  I was wearing yoga pants, a long-sleeve black Tee with this jacket on top.  I'll take that as dressing up.  Tuesday 3/1 Have I mentioned I love the mountains covered in snow?  Yeah, I think I have. Wednesday 3/2 Virtual toast with my girls was made with this.  Thursday 3/3 Oh look! I like clouds too! Friday 3/4 Made with a new app Diptic.   It makes me happy.  This has been on my keychain since November 2007.  I participated in NWM at home using Nike+. It was my 13.1 around town.  I ran the first 10 miles and slowly walked the last 13+ miles home.   It gave me a taste of distance running.  Saturday 3/5 My girl in the middle of her beam routin

The Bieber fan club

Did I get your attention? MizFit tweeted the other day that her 5yo said she wanted to marry Justin Bieber. And then she lost a bunch of followers. Which I found funny. Am I the only one who remembers playing tag in kindergarten but the point was to catch a boy and kiss him. That sounds so scandalous in today's world of Tiaras and Tantrums where society sexualizes anything and everything.  I also remember having a crush on a boy when I was 10.  And it was innocent.  He was the son of family friends, and since our families hung out together a lot, I got to hang out with him.  He was nice to me.  And funny. My first real butterflies-in-my-tummy crush happened when I was 12.  It, too, was innocent.  I was shy and awkward and there was no way I was going to *do* anything about this crush.  I do admit that the society I was in up until I was 11 did not really support or revolve around pop culture and the media blitz that is an every day occurrence here in the U.S. today.  (I will also

You Capture - Technology

Image
When Beth announced "technology" as this week's challenge, I was originally going to take pictures of all the stuff in my house that has to do with technology.  And then I had a better idea.  I'm a bit of a pack rat/tree hugger.  I have most of the old technology in my house that I've acquired over the years.  So I thought I'd take us on an evolutionary path. First I bring you cells phones I'm missing my first cell phone ala end of 2001.  Sweet Pea was playing with it yesterday and now it's MIA.  It's a little blue early flip-type phone.  And now on to the cameras This is a 35mm film camera.  This camera took all of the Gymnast's pictures for the first two years of her life.  It's a good little camera.  Our first digital camera is not pictured.  It met a watery death when I handed it down to the kids.  Sweet Pea thought it looked dirty so she took the battery out and was giving it a bath with lots of soapy bubbles. This was our second digi
