Halling Go To Alaska

Wow. Week 40? Shoosh, Time.  You're going too fast. Sunday 10/2  My girl on her floor routine, for which she placed 3rd (I believe).   It was nice to see her competing again.  Despite the 4+ hours for a meet, I really enjoy them.  Monday 10/3 Almost forgot a picture.  The leaves are starting to change here.  Tuesday 10/4 The little one and I had a busy afternoon playing games and reading stories.  It's nice to be able to spend that time with her.  Wednesday 10/5 Yep.  I'm back to the cloud pictures.   I think my swimmer took this one on the way to Costco.  Thursday 10/6 Ooh! More clouds!  Friday 10/7 Sweet Pea waiting for her turn for picture day.  Saturday 10/8 This is the most creative way I've ever seen my name spelled.  Made me giggle on a Saturday morning. 

Fall is finally here.  Cooler temperatures.  Trees changing.  The light breeze that puts a chill in the air in the morning.  The seasons will always change whether we want them to or not.  I love fall.  Always have.  Fall seems fleeting though.  It never seems to last long enough before the chill of winter sets in.  But fall is definitely a transition, a transition that is inevitable.  One I look forward to and has always provided comfort to my soul.  Life is full of transition.  The kids go back to school.  Another birthday passes.  Last year's pants come out of storage to be tried on and it's then you realize how much they've grown.  You look in the mirror and see more gray, more lines on your face - hopefully from the joy in your life.  The shorter days.  The darker mornings.  Not wanting to get up because, man it's cold out there! Change.  Fall.  Autumn.  Life.

Dang! It looks like there are 8 weeks left to the year. What with there being 52 in every year, right? My how time flies when you're the mother of three kids.  Hell, time flies the older you get.  See that? The older *you* get.  Not me.  'Cuz I'm not getting older.  To prove my point I'm not posting any pictures this week because if I did that, then you'd know I made it through another 7 days and with that I'd be 7 days older.  Hmm. I guess the fact that I'm typing this and posting this also proves that.  Okay. Here are this week's pictures. Sunday My princess fairy w/o her wings enjoying fresh spun cotton candy. Monday My awesome new running gloves.  Can't wait for the next cold day to wear them.  Probably Tuesday night. Tuesday Beautiful day to be at the park before swim club practice.
