#insaneroastrip day 12
What a long day! I woke up at 5 a.m. again. Only I would have loved to be going for a run instead of the 12 hours planned in the car. Amazingly we pulled out of Elaine's driveway at 6:01. Woot! Elaine's husband pretty much rocks. He made me coffee because, as he said, you can't get on the road at 6 a.m. for 12 hours in the car without coffee. :)
The drive was long and beautiful.
Luckily there were Starbucks.

There were tears this day in the car but they were helped by hugs and love. My patience hat was firmly in place all day.

I love the green of the south but not the humidity that goes with it. I will admire it from the inside where there is ac. Towards the end of the drive, Sweet Pea and Sass fell asleep. They *never* sleep in the car. Ever.

When we finally made it to Brooke's we might all have been giddy. (please excuse the deep circles under my eyes)

So Brooke took us for a walk around her neighborhood. It's beautiful here.

I enjoyed a glass or 2 of my most favorite adult beverage.

The kids watched a bit of tv and then crashed hard. I wasn't too far behind. I'm looking forward to our day in EAST Tennessee!
