#insaneroastrip day #9
Wow!! It's hard I believe it's already closing on day 9! We had a bit of a leisurely morning and ended up at the pool. We were actually all changed and ready to go within an hour. That's 6 kids 10 and under and 2 mommies. That must be some kind of record. They had so much fun in about two hours.

My little sunbather.

Lisa and her brood

Here's Sass. She figured out a new way of having an inflatable swimsuit top.

Then it was home for lunch.

The kids spent the afternoon hanging out in Lisa's girl's room watching movies trying to stay cool. Did I mention central Texas is *really* hot in June? Today? 99* but throw in the heat index and it was 109*. Did I mention that it hadn't gotten above 70 back home before we left? Ugh. I may be melting.
For dinner Lisa made yummy tostadas and burritos. Oh.my.yum.

Throw a little salad on the side and it was delish. After dinner we loaded up the kids and went out for ice cream. Not sure if that was a good idea as the sugar sorta freaked them all out. But it was yummy. Just ask Little A.

Right now we are sitting on the back porch enjoying a margarita. See?

Tomorrow I'm getting up early for about a 3-mile run on one of Lisa's paths. Then we get on the road for a 7-hour trek to Elaine's in Louisiana.
I will see you all back here tomorrow for an update on #insaneroastrip Cajun style!
