Sunday 2/20
Fire in the fireplace in the gold room. 
We were kickin' it with booze and Guitar Hero. 

Monday - 2/21

Snowy mountains. 
YAY!

Tuesday 2/22

Cat not happy about having her picture taken. 

Wednesday 2/23
I'm not sure how I can explain how awesome I think I am that I caught this drip. 
Because I'm 100% impressed with myself. 

Thursday 2/24

It was so bright out from the snow. 
There were complete cloud coverage but the sun was *trying* to break through. 

Friday 2/25

The original "Words with Friends" with my 10yo. 

Saturday 2/26

Loved the mountains with the clouds right on top of them...
and yet the sky was so blue.

#insaneroadtrip day 17

Wow! It's amazing what happens when you sleep for 8 hours one night and 9 the next! You can cope with heat and humidity and sun and crowds and traffic. After enjoying a nice yummy breakfast (I had an omelet) we packed up the truck and headed out of Granny's place and off for the big city. We were meeting Thea at the Air & Space Museum and rode the metro in the north. The metro used to scare me, but not so much anymore. The maps are pretty too. We left T at a corner where he turned towards Starbucks to do homework and not hobble around in his boot. We went the opposite way towards l Air & Space. The last time we were there the girls didn't get to see a lot of it because we ran out of time. After a pitstop in the bathroom I spotted Thea. Yay! Roomie! random ponderings

Perspective.  I've acquired a lot of it over my life.  Wisdom comes with age, right? This last year has been full of perspective and enlightenment about myself.  Realizing things I didn't know.  Or more accurately didn't want to admit.  I hate being wrong.  I think most people do.  Having kids taught me that if I expected them to own up to their mistakes that I had to walk the walk.  When I mess up with them? I lose my temper, I forget to do something I said I would do, I do something that hurts their hearts?  I apologize.  Because they need to know that it's okay be human and make mistakes.  We all do.  And it's okay.  But be honest. What I also hope to teach them...and I think the only way to teach is through action...is that you have to trust but you must do so carefully and wisely.  And you can't have the wisdom to be cautious until you've been hurt.  And the ones you least expect to hurt you are probably the...
